Roller Compacted Concrete and Soil Cement Seminar Success!October 25, 2007 Salem, OR. The Northwest Cement Producers Group hosted guest speaker Greg Halsted, P.E. of the Portland Cement Association to speak to public works and engineering officials in Oregon.Over the course of two days, nearly 30 professionals representing the Oregon Department of Transportation, city and county governments attended seminars in Salem, Corvallis and Springfield, OR. Several members of the public also attended the Springfield seminar. Mr. Halsted spoke about the features and benefits of roller compacted concrete and soil cement. During the informal session he took questions and provided "concrete" examples to the receptive audiences. After the seminar, the Northwest Cement Producers Group mailed a custom CD with Greg's slides and PCA software.
